How should the lights be done in a Mediterranean living room?

Lighting in a living room is tricky, as it all depends on how big the living room is as well as what will be placed in the living room. If there is a television in the living room, the lighting should not be as bright as if there were not as the reflective light from the television will also add to the overall light in the room.
