Deborah envisioned details and with careful collaboration with other professionals, the vision was brought to life. The opening scene invites us through the front door directly to the entertainment space on the patio where a mural of African Art is in progress.
White shutters accentuate the bright light in the home, giving us a glimpse of the planned “fresh” interior coming this way! The very impressive marble tile taking us up the staircase and onto the first floor leaves one with a feeling that nothing can prepare us for the big reveal!
There are endless possibilities when it comes to the partnership with an experienced Interior Designer. Deborah created this space around the “less is more” concept. The high-end finishes and designer products used to design, develop and decorate the space makes it a piece of art on its own.
It is a beautiful compilation of light, colour, texture and emotion. It feels clutter free but not cold. It is cool and cosy at the same time. If we are required to use only one word describing this project it would be COMPLIMENTING. There are so many different features in this home but nothing clashes with each other. The energy flows seamlessly from the one space to the next, constantly lifting the spirit to a contented state. The layout makes sense, the flow is easy, the vibe uplifting. Art plays a major role in this design, definitely soothing on the eye and senses. Again, putting a look together that is non-invasive is not child play – it takes an expert eye, one that is able to visualise and feel the emotion long before the space is embodied. If not careful, one can easily go overboard and spoil a perfectly balanced space with the addition of one wrong item.

The home office is yet another underrated space in the modern South African home. Since access to internet allows us to work more remotely (from home) the home office deserves a little more attention. In this instance the space is furnished in a way that allows for office work as well as meetings to take place in a styled environment. All office equipment is stored in a cabinet thus no clutter to distract from the beauty of this well put together room. Do you wish to step inside for a meeting madam, sir?
Natural light during the day and the addition of mood lighting for night time, opens up this space. The use of art compliments the otherwise minimalist design beautifully.
