A young couples first apartment.
We chose to keep this interior fairly sparse and focus more on textures and unusual decor pieces.
My clients have been collecting furniture for a number of years and find it fun to be able to pair different styles in a creative manner.
The room has late afternoon sunlight which adds to the crispness of the room.
We used a number of different materials in the room. An antique Oak chest of drawers, a beautiful iconic chrome table lamp and a masculine chair to ground the corner. A mixture of materials and textures are what I love to focus on in a room.
We decided to keep the bedroom very sparse and use very muted colors. And focus more again on textures and attention to small details.
We chose coarse linen scatter cushions, a silk headboard & bed base and soft mohair bed throws.
We demolished a wall which allowed us to create a bigger and more spacious bathroom.
We introduced a free standing bath to create more space and an open shower.
The room has been kept very sparse with minimal accessories.
