Walkersons House

The Walkersons W74 residence is nestled in the lowlands of the Mpumalanga landscape in Dullstroom. The ‘Barn Style’ design approach was favoured as response to the estate guidelines, with a modern architectural interpretation. The clients’ brief of a ‘home away for home’ laid the design emphasis on comfort and functionality. The house floor plan is defined by 3 distinct “Barn” elements, each with its own character. The choice of rustic materials softens the modern geometry of the form, lending warmth to the façade and interior spaces.
