This modern home was designed to maximize the views of the Stellenbosch mountains to the East and Table mountain in Cape Town to the west. This presented some climatic challenges with the West sunlight, that were solved using solarvue glass, and beams with large overhangs. The execution in the contemporary style, picked up on the vineyard theme, having a rusticated base to house the garages. With the kitchen upstairs, the living areas have the best views.
The east elevation was designed by architect Beverley Hui to be as compelling as the front facade.
The tripple garage is of hardwood.
The long wide window over the kitchen counter is designed to maximise the breathtaking views of Stellenbosch and surroundign vineyards.
The views from the entertainment deck are unmatched, Simonsberg Mountain in Stellenbosch as Well as Table mountain in Cape Town
