Our client approached us soon after purchasing this typical Edinburgh bungalow, with the intention of undertaking an entire internal strip out and refurbishment, forming a new loft conversion, and creating large new openings within the rear elevation of the property to accommodate a new rear extension.
The design process was developed with 2 dimensional sketches, scaled drawings and 3D modelling, all of which contributed to final proposals which were exempt from the requirement of a full Planning application, by closely complying with ‘Permitted Development’ parameters.
A spacious open plan Kitchen, Dining and Living Room was located to the rear of the property, with large sliding windows opening out to a spacious rear garden.
Major structural works were undertaken within the existing roof structure to accommodate a new stair within the heart of the floor plan, leading to an en-suite and large master bedroom within the old attic space.
A large dormer was formed within the rear of the roof to allow for a larger master bedroom.
