This stunning property is located on the beach in the beautiful town of Mosselbay on the East Coast of South Africa. The client, a prominent South African businessman, wanted something unusual and extraordinary. The average awning or tensile structure just would not do.

The design also had to complement the contemporary, clean lines of the house. We opted for fully automated Sail Awnings which could be rolled up on a central beam by the press of a button.

For good measure we added a bioclimatic Awning to the upper deck, creating a waterproofed area, ideal for enjoying the incredible beach views, even when the weather was not ideal.

We also assisted with the design (especially the technical aspects) of the magnificent rim-flow pool, from which the water would cascade over an upright glass rim.
