An H-shaped plan with a central courtyard around which the house is organized, allows for framed views through the house and into the surrounding landscape. The requirement was for a modern house which had a certain degree of symmetry, and the relaxed
roof shape was to make the house fit more comfortably in the natural surroundings of the wildlife estate,—a concept in which wild game is allowed to roam freely between houses within the fenced estate.
