With time, your house needs to be revamped in order to sync with the current design trends and your constantly evolving taste. In addition, makeovers are inexpensive affairs as with a few basic changes, you can completely transform the overall look of any space in your house. A true example of how simple renovations lead to major changes can be seen in this project. Here, the interior designers and decorators of CS design, Sandton, have improved and modified the entertainment room of a house in Randburg. All the furniture pieces have been custom designed to add some stunning features to the old bar. In fact, here are some before and after pictures of this entertainment area that will offer you a better clarity regarding the renovation done to revamp it.

Before: A traditional bar design

This is an old picture of the bar which gives you a clear idea of how simple and conventional the design was. With a lot of wine bottles, glasses, and other accessories placed in an unorganized manner in the bar, it gives you a cluttered feel. Also, the steel rods holding the top wooden unit as well as the steel chairs do not go well with the rest of the furnishings and are slightly off-putting.

Before: Metal sofa frames and plain walls

The seating area looks quite dull for a room which is supposed to be your source of entertainment. The sofas with their metal frames and attached floral cushions clearly do not match with the modern-day energy and look uncomfortable to sit on. The beige walls and the dark curtains create a rather gloomy and lifeless environment.

Before: An unpleasant setting

Here is another picture of a section of this entertainment room which displays an urgent need of renovation. The two-seater couch feels forcefully stuffed between the bar area and the side counter. The shiny golden curtain fails to blend in with the rest of the décor and looks awful.

After: Classy seating space

This is how well-designed the seating space looks after the completion of the renovation work. While earlier there were metal glass windows, now you can see them replaced with the ever-classic huge wooden windows. In the corner area, an arch has been created to install a floor-length window, which definitely is complementing the arched wall opening next to it. To accentuate the ethnic yet modern appeal, cane table and sofas have been used for the seating area.

After: Stylish new bar with gin bar

Here is your completely modified bar with well-customized wooden chairs. The built-in bar unit offers adequate space for keeping your fine liquor bottles. To infuse an exciting vibe, blue wooden chairs with textured backs have been used for the bar as well as for the dining space. In fact, the combination of dark brown wood and blue colour of the chairs creates a pleasing contrast with the all-white walls. Besides the massive main bar, what truly grabs your attention is the gin bar for ladies. Since the design of the house is Spanish, the designers have used burglar bars as a backdrop for the gin bar.

After: Attractive wall paper, roman mock blind and customized furniture

The wall behind the couch has been covered with a blue wall paper to infuse a trendy touch and to complement the furnishings. The distasteful golden curtain has been replaced with roman mock blind featuring an abstract pattern. To give a personalized feel to the entertainment area, the designers have incorporated a customized plush couch and an ottoman in the shade of beige and blue respectively. Also, everything ranging from the cushions to blind, wallpaper and chairs, looks in harmony with each other.
