Nothing speaks of a tropical paradise more than our pristine white walls with old-style traditional windows. This home is a reflection of that style and everything about the exteriors and interiors gives you a feeling of relaxation and calmness. A home should always reflect your personality and tastes. It is also important to include modern conveniences and designs to a certain measure as this allows you to live in and appreciate your space better. Adding the right landscape to such a home not only makes it appealing but contributes to the well-being of everyone in the home. This wonderful villa in Bangalore has been designed by the architects of Sandarbh Design Studio, Bangalore

Charming exteriors

The lovely villa exudes a wonderful charm as the white exterior walls make a fabulous impression. The white has been contrasted well by the use of rustic wood for the windows and the unique name plaque. Add to this lovely mix an equal measure of iron and vibrant colour in the form of green plants and you have the most impressive home in the block. An aged tree bends and slants towards the home giving it presence and style. The arched windows add just the right design element to the exteriors.

Rustic approach

The interiors of the home have been designed bearing in mind the fondness for an antique look. For instance, the doors to the balcony in this room look heavy and ornate very typical of doors you may see in earlier times. The arch above the door and the wood beams in the ceiling give you the impression that the homeowners prefer a traditional and modest style. The door to the room also has an old-world charm and that comes from the stained-glass effect in small panels within the top half of the door.

Creative balcony

Stairways and balconies present a unique challenge in that it is not easy to stick with the overall theme and still make the interiors look elegant and sophisticated. Here, a false balcony that extends all the way to the ceiling has been added by the architects to make it look consistent with the rest of the home. By using stained glass or flexible-glass, space looks bright and lively. Elaborate lighting such as chandeliers or rustic ornate lamps can add appeal to the existing design.

Sloping roofs

Sloping roofs can be wonderful yet challenging as the design itself expects you to think differently. The roofs in the top floors may be different but that only adds a wonderful charm to the design of the house. Here, the balustrade has also been designed keeping in view the preference for traditional design ideas. The sloping roof with its wood beams draws your eye but makes a perfect impression.
