You should never judge a book by its cover, and as you're about to see the same goes for the facade of a home. With a funky cappuccino coloured facade, this home looks humble and fun, but when you step inside the luxurious decor will make you feel like you've just entered a royal palace!

The designers really knew what they were doing here, and have maximised the available space to create a roomy and impressive home, despite a relatively limited floor area. With a massive dining table fit for a king, and contemporary art giving the home sophistication and character, the decor is sure to impress guests. The rest of the home is super modern, with all of the comforts you'd expect from the work of our fabulous homify professionals. If you want to know how to make a tiny home feel larger than life then join us as we take a look at the inspiring work of the folks at DG Construction.

The exterior

Sitting atop a perfectly manicured lawn, this funky exterior is fun and inviting. However this humble facade gives no hint of the opulence waiting inside!

An open plan living area

Open plan living areas are a really good option for smaller homes, as closing off rooms with doors can make a home feel dark and claustrophobic. Instead this room feels airy and spacious, stretching the entire length of the house.

The function of the two spaces is delineated by the furniture, but our perception of the size takes in the entire area. On the far side glass block windows allow natural light to filter into the home without compromising on privacy, plus they add a nice design flourish!

The dining room

If you love to entertain, then we're sure you're as blown away by this massive dining table as we are. Its cool modern design is accentuated by the contemporary art work on the wall, which also add some warm tones to the otherwise monochromatic colour palette. Perfect for the holidays, there's enough space for the whole family!

The little details

This home has been beautifully decorated, and touches like this sculpture really bring the aesthetic together. The giant mirror is another great idea for small homes, as it effectively doubles our perception of the size of the room!

The kitchen

With a small kitchen it's important that it's perfectly organised, and that's exactly what they've achieved with these really stylish custom cabinets. The decor is cool and modern with textured greys that unify the home aesthetically, and with ample bench space there's plenty of room to prepare enough food for that massive dining room table!

There's even a tiny breakfast bar at the end of the counter for you to enjoy your morning coffee!

The bathroom

The bathroom is ultra modern, and provides an interesting break in the decor from the rest of the home. A trendy industrial style takes over here, with rough concrete tiles providing a neutral colour scheme, perfect for injecting bursts of colour with accessories like those bright red towels.

The room is a super efficient use of space, managing to fit in a huge shower and a bathtub without the room feeling cramped.

The bedroom

This bedroom is all class, with a sleek modern design, and creative decoration like the sectional mirror, and those futuristic silver lamps. Warm neutral tones perfectly complement the black curtains and bed frame, making for a comforting and luxurious room.

It just goes to show that tiny homes can be just as impressive as their bigger counterparts! If you'd like to see another inspiring example of tiny homes, then check out this stunner!
