  • Empty shampoo or body wash bottles (labels removed and bottles clean)
  • White stickers
  • Scissor to cut the stickers in shape
  • Felt pens for colour
  • Blade cutter

Sometimes kiddies tend to adapt to what we do because as parents, we lead by example. It’s no surprise to find an untidy kid’s room because they’ve already become so busy with adventure there’s no time to clean up… Starting to sound familiar, as you reflect on your own busy schedule and lifestyle? So while this is true, our team came up with this inspiring desk organizer for kids to help them keep their room tidy. These colourful and fun desk monsters will help your kiddies to practice tidy habits.

Without any further ado, let’s get to this DIY project that you can easily tackle at home!

1 hourDifficultyEasy

Step 1: Prepare the shampoo/body wash bottles

Using a washed, clean shampoo/body wash container (labels removed), you’ll cut the shape for the desk monster’s body as seen in this picture. Keep the off cuts to create arms, legs and any other extras for the little monsters.

Step 2: Glue the arms

In this step, all you have to glue the monster’s arms in place.

Step 3: Add the face

After the glue has dried, add the monster’s face. We simply used plain white stickers and then coloured it in with a felt pen. Do this for the eyes and mouth.

Step 4: All done and ready for use

Here’s the final results of our DIY desk monsters. We chose to attach it to a wall so that it doesn’t get bumped over by accident. However, you can also place it on the desk as is. Your kids will love it, we sure did.
